Marc L'Herault, a dedicated military veteran and beloved family man, passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on March 3, 1951, Marc led a remarkable life filled with adventure, dedication, and love. He was a swell guy, who will be missed dearly.
Marc's journey began in 1970 when he joined the army, embarking on a path that would shape his life for the next two decades. Throughout his distinguished military career, he honed his skills as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. Marc's unwavering commitment and exemplary service earned him the respect and admiration of his comrades.
After dedicating himself to defending his country, Marc decided to retire from the army in 1990. However, his passion for serving others never ceased.
While Marc's achievements in the army were noteworthy, it was his role as a loving husband and devoted father that truly defined him. Marc cherished every moment spent with his cherished family, always placing their happiness above all else.
Marc will be laid to rest with Military Honors at 10 a.m. on February 7, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Ky.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gina L’Herault; children, Chad (Heather) L’Herault, Adam L’Herault, Jacquelyn (Randy) Sorenson, and Dave L’Herault; brothers, Mitch and Marty L’Herault, fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
As we reflect on Marc's life, let us remember the man who dedicated his years to protecting our nation and fostering a loving environment for his family. His unwavering commitment to duty and his compassionate spirit will forever inspire and guide us.
