Mai Haynes

Mai Dell Haynes, 89, Clarksville, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Markin officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. She was born May 15, 1921 in Davidson County and was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Batey and Etha Mae Batey Morrison; and her husband, Edgar Lee Haynes; brothers, Robert Morrison, Barney Batey, Paul Batey; sister, Ruby Owen. Mrs. Haynes was a homemaker and a Methodist. Survivors include her caregiver and loving niece, Joanie Goss, Clarksville; sister-in-law, Gladys Batey, Clarksville; dear friends, Rebecca Hurtt and Maggie Lee Oliver, both of Clarksville; brothers, Roy Morrison, J.T. Morrison, sister, Mary Ruth Morrow, all of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be David Goss, Tim Warren, Gene Warren and Joe Batey.
