Madison Taylor, Jr.

Madison `Jim` Vernie Taylor Jr., 64, Clarksville, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Louie Montoya officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born March 26, 1943 in Toombs County, GA son of Madison V. Taylor Sr. and Irene Sharpe Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Lanora Penfield. Mr. Taylor retired from the U.S. Army where he served in VietNam and Korea. He later retired from Montgomery County School System whre he was the Lead Custodian at Moore Elementary. Mr. Taylor was a Baptist. Other than his mother, of Savannah, GA, survivors include his son, Ronnie Taylor, Georgia; daughter, Suan Taylor, Clarksville; brothers, Raymond Taylor, Paller, GA, Danny Taylor, Rincon, GA; sister, Johnnie Eason, Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Shaliza Taylor, Ah-Neesa Spencer and Davontay Spencer.
