Lydia Buckner

Lydia Louise Buckner, 85, Clarksville, died Sunday, February 10, 2008, at St. Thomas Hospital. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at McReynolds - Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Bill Buckner officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 til 8 p. m. Wednesday and from 10am til service Thursday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Buckner was born in Montgomery Co., December 29, 1922, the daughter of John. M. and Katherine Groves Reynolds. She was a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church, a 1942 graduate of Montgomery Central High School, a homemaker and mother. She was preceded in death by two sisters Irene Proctor and Ruth Buckner, and two nephews John Allen Proctor and Tony Proctor. Mrs. Buckner is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ewing C. Buckner, Clarksville, one son, Douglas Buckner Sr.(Janelle Fosser) - Clarksville. Five grandchildren - Clair Buckner, Mary Katherine Deal, Douglas Buckner II, Katie Buckner and Lydia Buckner. One great-grandchild - Mary Evelyn Deal. Three nieces - Sarah Phillips, Margie Davis and Marlene Gale, and two nephews - Don Proctor and Larry Proctor. Pallbearers will be: Bill Davis, Larry Proctor, Andy Davis, Phillip Buckner, Mark Proctor and Gary Davis.
