Lurleen Whitehead

Lurleen Williams Whitehead, age 85, of Cumberland Furnace, passed away on November 22, 2019 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and again on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Lurleen entered this life on June 4, 1934 in Hazard, KY to the late Tauble and Mary Williams. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Whitehead.
Survivors include her children, Ricky Allen (Karen) Whitehead, Carl Edward (Kim) Whitehead, Janet Lee Kirby, Patricia Louise (Joe) Olmstead, and Joy Lynn Gidcomb, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Overfield, Darrell Kirby, Joe Olmstead, Richard Whitehead, Jeff Akins, and Gerald Akins.
