Lula Hayes Leftwich, age 98, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her home in Cumberland Furnace.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013 at Louise United Methodist Church with the Revs. Robert Hargrove and Melvin E. Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Ramey Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the church.
Lula entered this life on October 15, 1914 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, daughter of James and Maggie Davis Hayes. She was a former manufacturing employee of B.F. Goodrich and was a longtime member of Louise United Methodist Church and the Senior Citizens group.
Lula rejoins her husband, Thomas Leftwich, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Robbie Chester, grandson, Edward Chester and past granddaughter-in-law, Tracy Orbin, all of Cumberland Furnace, great grandchildren, Jared Chester, Jessica Smith, Bonnie Bly, and Erica Thompson, and twelve great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Black, Cecil Castleberry, Wade Akin, Homer Miller, Jimmy Harrison, and Randy Wynn.
