Luther (Luke) McClain, 69, Stewart, TN, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1pm Saturday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Beverly Dycus and Denise Settles officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Friday and from 8am until service Saturday at the funeral home. A masonic service will be held Friday at 7 pm. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Luke was born November 1, 1940 in Paris, TN, son of the late Edgar McClain and Dorothy Jackson McClain. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 300 and was an Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife Elsie Manners McClain of Stewart, step sons Shane Averitte and Lynn Averitte, both of Stewart, step daughter Rhonda Mobley of Tennessee Ridge, brother Bruce McClain of Erin, sisters Judy Rosewall of Tennessee Ridge, Evelyn Quirk of Northville, MI, five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jackson, Ronald Melton, Andy Whitehead, Nick Bush, James Martin, Paul Rye, and Kirk Bartholomew.
