Lucy Chapman Suiter, age 68, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 in Nashville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow in the Myers Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Lucy entered this life on May 5, 1945 in Pontiac, Michigan, daughter to the late Alfred and Mary Lena Brunson Chapman. She had been employed at the Ft. Campbell Commissary and later at the APSU Library. Lucy was a Methodist.
She is survived by her loving family which includes her children, Gene Suiter and his wife Lynn, and Mary Suiter, Clarksville; grandson, Daniel Suiter; brothers, Sam Chapman of Nevada, John Chapman of Big Rock, and Rick Chapman of Jefferson City; and sisters, Betty Killebrew of Palmyra, Sarah Suiter of Palmyra, Ann Fleet of Clarksville, and Jo Craig of Nashville. She was preceded in death by siblings Juanita Chapman and Jimmy Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Killebrew, Keith Killebrew, Wayne Suiter, Roland Suiter, Danny Suiter, Douglas Fleet, Jimmy Chapman, Greg Chapman, Alex Chapman, and Jake Chapman.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Myers Cemetery Fund, 2050 Shelton Ferry Rd., Southside, TN 37171.
The family requests casual dress for those in attendance of the visitation and service.
