Lucille McWhorter

Lucille McWhorter, 78, Cunningham, died, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at her residence. A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Revs. James Shepherd and David Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. She was born June 23, 1932 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Hilton and Effie Underwood; and her brother, Norman Underwood. Mrs. McWhorter was a homemaker and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Tom McWhorter; and her sister, Clemantene U. Conway, both of Cunningham; nephew, Kevin Underwood, Clarksville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
