Loy Erickson

Loy Laird Erickson, age 87 of Clarksville, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Celebration of Life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Guertin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church. Loy entered this life on August 28, 1934, in Ellsworth, Kansas to the late Helen LaVergne Wear Laird and Jess Paul Laird.

Raised in a home with Christian values, Loy has always been active in church. She was a member of the church family at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She learned to play the piano as a little girl and has since written over 600 songs. She prioritized Jesus, her family, and singing southern gospel music with the Erickson Family for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, CWII (Ret.) Homer Edward Erickson, and sister, Constance Amber Laird Stockmyer. Survivors include her children Heidi Erickson Nolen and Ron Erickson (Janet); grandchildren, Robin Erickson and Chrissy Victory (Keith), and great-grandson, Samuel Tittle.
