Louysa Schmittou

Louysa Mae (Lou) Schmittou, 77, Erin, died Thursday, November 18, 2010, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Nave Funeral Home, Erin, Tn. with Bro. Paul Moody and Bro Truitt Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 - 8 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Schmittou was born December 20, 1932 in Cleveland Ohio. Daughter of the late William John Brown and Edythe Ennis Brown. She was a member of Erin Baptist Church, a past hospice volunteer and sunday school teacher. She is preceded in death by one sister Allean Tassie. She is survived by her husband Joseph Robert Schmittou of Erin, Tn., one daughter Susan Baxter of Tennessee Ridge, Tn., one sister Ruth Persichini of Warren, Michigan, three grandchildren Joseph McGinnis, Wendy Smith, Rebecca Rogers and three great-grandchildren Kari, Shelby and Dallas Smith. Pallbearers will be Tracy Smith, Perry Baxter, Joe McGinnis, Dan Martin, Scott Davis and John Clady. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Houston County Library and Erin Baptist Church.
