Lonnie Gray

Lonnie Dexter Gray Sr, age 72, of Tennessee Ridge TN, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gray-Barnes Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
Lonnie entered this life on June 20, 1949 in New Brunswick, NJ son to the late William H. Gray and Doris T. Gray.
Lonnie was a proud Union Pipe Coverer with Local Union 32 in Newark, New Jersey for many years before he retired to his home in Tennessee Ridge. Lonnie was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Waverley, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his son, Lonnie Gray Jr; siblings, William H. Gray Jr., and Jeanne Gray.
Lonnie leaves behind his loving children, Allison Messer (Herbert), Jill Malone (Lee), Ryan Gray (Diane), Ashley Wicks; daughter in law, Cheryl Baron; siblings, Mark Gray, Kevin Gray, John Gray, John Smith, Timothy Gray, Karen Petrucci, and Mary K, Gray. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Allison’s children are Daniel Hunter, Nathan Hunter, Fiona Messer, Chloe Messer; Jill’s children are Michael Schiefelbein, Maxwell Schiefelbein, Brandon Schiefelbein, Reilly Schiefelbein; Lonnie Jr.’s children are Lonnie Gray III, Julia Gray, Leah Gray; Ryan’s children are Jackson Gray, and Sienna Gray, as well as five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
