Lonnie Forrest

August 23, 1945 — August 28, 2021

Lonnie Herbert Forrest, age 76 of Palmyra, TN, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his residence.

Lonnie entered this life in Kellyville, OK, son to the late Ted and Ruby Forrest. Lonnie left school with an 8th grade education and went on to build a large construction company from the ground up. He built commercial buildings all over the United States including Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. He was very successful in business, but to him, it was his family that truly mattered the most. Lonnie faithfully served his country in the United States Army.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his siblings, Marion Donaldson, Ronald Forrest, Daryl Forrest and Nema Jayroe.

Survivors include his loving spouse of 54 years, Regina Gail Forrest; children, Ruby Ann Forrest, Ronald Taylor (Racheal) Forrest; siblings, Deloris Willis, Wayne Forrest, Wade Forrest, Saundra Kay Schaller and Douglas Forrest. Lonnie also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Kristen (Shea) Sikes, Meagan (John) Ybarra, Tayler Forrest, Nathan Forrest; great-grandchildren, Anna Sikes, Addison Sikes, Damon Sikes, Reese Sikes, Sophia Ybarra; and a host of bonus grandchildren.

A celebration of life service with military honors will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am.
