Lola Elizabeth `Betsy` Russ Bailey, 86, Montgomery, AL, passed away, Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev David Forney officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Lt. Col. James "Jim"E. Bailey, Jr.; her parents, Robert and Montez Russ; and sisters, Montez Caraway and Miriam Russ. She loved family and especially gathering together for holidays. Her special service in Clarksville will be a reunion for the family to share their memories of their wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful caring and loving staff at John Knox Nursing home. Betsy adored her caretakers and had a special bond with each of them.
