Lola Elizabeth `Betsy` Russ Bailey, 86, Montgomery, AL, passed away, Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev David Forney officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Lt. Col. James "Jim"E. Bailey, Jr.; her parents, Robert and Montez Russ; and sisters, Montez Caraway and Miriam Russ. She loved family and especially gathering together for holidays. Her special service in Clarksville will be a reunion for the family to share their memories of their wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful caring and loving staff at John Knox Nursing home. Betsy adored her caretakers and had a special bond with each of them. She is survived by her four children, James "Jim"E. Bailey (Sally), San Antonio, TX, Susan Bailey Jindrich (Jerry), Newburgh, IN, Elizabeth "Liz"Bailey Thompson and Robert "Bobby"Theodore Russ Bailey (Jannah), Montgomery, AL; 10 grandchildren, James "Jim"E. Bailey (Suzanne), Apex, NC, Elizabeth "Beth"Bailey (Jeff Allen), Washington DC, Jeremy Bailey (Nicole), San Diego, CA, Michelle Jindrich Tucker (Jeff), Ludington, MI, Michael Jindrich (Anna), Overland Park, KS, Scott Jindrich (Amanda), Sydney, Australia, Charles "Charlie"Thompson (Dawn), Columbia, SC, Robert "Robbie"Thompson, Birmingham, AL, Sgt. Forrest Clay Hull (Krista), El Paso, TX, and Frazier Carroll Hull, USMA, West Point, NY; 15 great-grandchildren, James "Jimmy"E. Bailey, Patrick Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Elizabeth "Ella"Bailey, Molly Allen, Corinne Allen, Tobin "Toby"Allen, Sam Tucker, Joseph Tucker, Lauren Jindrich, Nicholas Jindrich, Nathan "Nate"Thompson, Abigail "Abby"Thompson, Elizabeth "Libby"Thompson, and Camylle Marie Hull; surviving Clarksville Family includes, sister-in-law, Ella Bailey Hay and nieces, Eleanor Hay, Corinne Hay Mabry, Betsy Kimbrough, and Peggy Bashore.
