Lloyd Woodson Ashby Jr. “Woody”, 77 of Cunningham, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Mackens and Rev. James Black officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Woody was born July 20, 1937 in Madisonville, KY son of the late, Rev. Lloyd Woodson Ashby Sr and Jennie Ewing Ashby. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wives, Millie Suggs Ashby and Elaine Greenup Ashby and grandson, Tramm Kyle. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a used car dealer.
Left to cherish his memory is his sons, Tim (Nora) Ashby and Steve (Cindy) Ashby; daughter, Tessa Ashby; step-son, Darren Greenup; step-daughter, Melody (Hutch) Hutchinson; sister, Betty Sue Hayes; grandchildren, Steven Ashby Jr., Heather Ashby, Brian Ashby, Brandon Ashby, Levi Ashby, Summer Kyle, Caleb Ashby, Miranda Ashby, and Devin Kyle; great-grandchildren, Carson Ashby, Lauren Ashby, Caden Ashby, Mallary Ashby, Camryn Ashby, Cage Ashby, Brennyn Shumake, Landon Ashby, Jaylyn Kyle, Trace Ashby, Anastyn Ashby, Jett Ashby, and Garrett Kyle.
Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
