Lisa Akins

Lisa Annette Akins, age 61, of Cunningham passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Akins officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., and again on Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Lisa entered this life on November 1, 1960, in Clarksville, TN to Frank Biter and the late Ruth Bryant Biter. She was the co-owner of Allegra Printing and a member of Dickson Chamber of Commerce. Lisa was a member of First Baptist Church, Dickson, TN where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Her hobbies included decorating, scrapbooking, antiquing, and devoting time coordinating her church’s Christmas and Easter programs. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and aunt. She loved supporting her son in music and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Bryant Biter; brother-in-law, Dubby Akins, and father-in-law, Bill Akins.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Mike Akins; son, Dalton Akins; brother, Scott (Carolyn) Biter; mother-in-law, Ruth Akins; sister-in-law, Pam (Larry) Halliday; brother-in-law, Gary (Rani) Akins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Butch McCurdy, Jeff Groves, Matt White, Venn Biter, Danny Griffey, and Lucien Chatham.
