Lillian Irene Potts
October 20, 1921 — April 2, 2013
Lillian Irene Potts, age 91, of Cumberland Furnace, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 while at her daughter's home in Clarksville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Hopewell Baptist Church with the Rev. John Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the church.
Lillian entered this life on October 20, 1921 in the Shiloh community of Montgomery County to Isham Lee Sykes and Lida Susan Britt Sykes. Lillian was a loving homemaker and a faithful member of the church family at Hopewell Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Potts, two sisters, and six brothers.
Survivors include her loving children, Janie Mastrostefano and husband Don of Clarksville and Dewie Potts of Clarksville; her grandchildren, Judy Moore and husband Cliff of Fairview, Roger Baggett Cumberland Furnace, and Lyndie Strahan and husband Sean of Jacksonville, FL; her brother, Dewie Sykes of Centerville; eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roger Baggett, Dillon Baggett, Cliff Moore, Sean Strahan, Chester Williams, and Loyde Potts.
