Lewis R. Beasley, age 89 of Cunningham passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August ¬21, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Garrette Milliken officiating. Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Lewis entered this life on January 26, 1932 in Stewart County, TN to the late Rupert and Evelyn Lewis Beasley. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. Lewis was retired from Trane where he had worked on the assembly line. He was a Baptist, loved gardening, farming, woodworking, journaling, and storytelling. More than anything, Lewis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Juanita A. Beasley, and his children, Nickulas C. Kinsey, Rodger D. Kinsey, Jack Kinsey, Robert Roth, and his infant daughter; and his siblings, Grace Pruitt, Cecil Beasley, and Lacy Beasley.
Survivors include his daughters, Barbara McLean and her husband Gary of Cunningham, Sharon Riggs, and Mary Walker; sister, Carolyn Whipkey; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Brenda Kinsey, and Peggy Kinsey. Lewis also leaves behind his God-Daughters, Olivia Craig, Brie Walker, Kristy Wiedman, and April Warren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Kinsey, Jason Fowler, Riley Fowler, Peter Kinsey, Cleve McLean, and Gary McLean.
