Lester Conatser

Lester F. Conatser, 88, Cunningham, died Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Danny Eads and Rev. Brad Benson officiating. Burial will be in McWhorter Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 12 noon until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born July 24, 1920, son of Lloyd Conatser and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Black Conatser. Mr. Conatser was a Lumber Inspector for the Jake McWhorter Lumber Co. and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Isabel Parker Conatser, brothers Vernon Conatser and Morgan Conatser, sisters Susie Alsobrooks and Sarah Dawson, and grandson Jerry Lee Burke. Survivors include sons Bobby Conatser and Michael Conatser both of Cunningham; daughter Sue Brown of Clarksville; sisters Evelyn Harrison, Carrie Bateman, and Hazel Biter, all of Cunningham; grandchildren Robert Burke and Cindy Burke-Montgomery and thirteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeff Bateman, David Harrison, Sonny Dawson, Paul Parker, Bruce Green, Kenneth Biter, Charlie Conatser, Robert Burke, and Steve Montgomery.
