Leslie Lynn Whitehead Stephens, 29, Clarksville, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Murphysboro City, IL. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Ken Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born November 17, 1978 in Montgomery Co., daughter of Jeffrey Lynn Whitehead and Tamy Ellis McLendon. Mrs. Stephens was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School and attended Austin Peay State University. In addition to her mother of Palmyra and father of Clarksville she is survived by her son Ross Thomas Stephens of Clarksville, step-father Cecil McLendon, Jr. of Palmyra, brother Jesse Lee McLendon of Palmyra, paternal grandmother Dorothy Jean Whitehead of Clarksville, and maternal grandmother Virginia Ellis of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be William Whitehead, Barry Whitehead, Shane Swift, Chad Huffman, Christopher Whitehead, and J.B. Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Ellis, Jr. and Jesse McLendon. Memorials may be made to the Clarksville-Ft. Campbell YMCA, 260 Hillcrest Dr., Clarksville, TN 37043.
