Leonard Roy Carson

Leonard “Roy” Carson age 85 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his residence. 

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Spring Hill Church with Bro. Joel Nulty and Brian Henley officiating. Burial will follow in Carson Cary Cemetery. 

 The Carson family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday morning at the church. 

 Roy entered this life on October 28, 1939 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Glenn and Erma Carson. Roy was a faithful member of Spring Hill Church, and had a passion for restoring antiques, fishing, and his Tennessee Titans football. His true love was his family; he was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother to his family; he will be greatly missed. 

 In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Carson. 

 Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Bobbie Carson; children, Gregory Orman (Sheila) Carson, Christy Carson (Robert) Collier, Dawn Carson (David) Chiles; siblings, Zane Carson, Sharon Dortch, Glenda Halliburton, and Kathy Pulley. Roy also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Justin, Cori, Bret, Sarah, Hannah; six great-grandchildren, and his faithful dog, “Buddy”. 

 Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Halliburton, Jason Halliburton, Shane Dortch, Cain Dortch, Chris Pulley, and David Carson. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Collier, Bret Carson, and Easton Tobitt. 

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spring Hill Church, 3376 Hwy 46, Erin, TN, 37061, or a charity of your choice.
