Leonard L. Broadston Sr., 88, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at his residence in Nashville. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Ron Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A burial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Nashville, with full military honors. He was born January 17, 1920 in Steele City, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Broadston and Pearl Forsyethe Broadston and his wife, Dorothy Marie Broadston. Mr. Broadston was retired from the U.S. Army where he had served in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a member of the Queen City Masonic Lodge, a York Rite Mason, and Al Menah Shrine Temple and Clarksville Shrine Club. Survivors include his sons, Leonard L. Broadston Jr, Portsmouth, VA, Douglas M. Broadston, Nashville; brothers, Clyde Broadston, Lincoln, NE, Ralph Broadston, San Antonio, TX; sisters, Lorraine McGinty, Eureka, CA, Mary Ellen Possic, Sacremento, CA; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
