Leon D. Parker, 68, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at his home in Indian Mound.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob Courtney officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Leon was born March 31, 1943, son of the late Arthur M. Parker and Alma Rose Justine Cusson Parker. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Army Veteran. Leon was a member of the DAV and the American Legion.
In addition to his parents Leon was preceded in death by his brother, Gobel Parker, and his sister, JoAnn Gallant. Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Parker, son, Brandon L. Parker, daughter, Amanda (Richard) Jenkins, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Boaz, Lonnie Mahon, Carl Gallant, and Earl Branson.
