Lee Vivian Nolen - 1928 Lee Vivian Nolen, 81, Cumberland City, died Saturday, February 13, 2010, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2pm Thursday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Samuel Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pm until 8pm Wednesday and from 8am until service Thursday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lee Vivian Powers Nolen was born April 13, 1928 in Stewart County, Tn. Daughter of the late Plummer Powers and Myrtle Jenkins Powers. She lived in Lansing Michigan for 45 years while her husband worked for GM and they moved back to Tennessee in 1987 after her husband retired. During this time she was a homemaker, raised two daughters and she helped raised sixteen children in all through the years, many still call her to see how she is doing. In her early days before her children she modeled, as a window model, in Lansing Mich. Then after the children came along she stayed home and took care of her family. She went to college and took classes in how to grow and take care of flowers. She was a member of McKendree UMC for 81 years in Stewart County, Tn. She leaves this world to go to a better place where she will once again be with her beloved husband Hugh Thomas Nolen (Dude),parents Plummer and Myrtle Powers and her brother Johnny M. Powers who were all waiting for her to come home. She was loved by many, two daughters Yvonne M. Nolen Stebleton, Shirley Ann Nolen Hands, three grandchildren Jimmie Ray Haines II, David James Piper, Sara Lee Ann Stebleton Rye and four great-grandchildren Cody M. Haines, Chase T. Haines, Hughleena Thomasina Nolen Rye and Karol Elizabeth Rye, and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ricky Oneal, Lewis Dew, Randy Hollis, Ronald Nolen, Beverly Nolen, Joel Nolen and Jimmie Ray Haines II. Honorary pallbearers will be David Piper, Cody Haines, Chase Haines, Danny Clark and Johnny M. Powers.
