Lawrence Ray Cox, age 80 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson with Pastor John Routzahn officiating.
Lawrence was born on February 10, 1935 in Christian County, KY, the son of the late Robert McKinley Cox and Eunice A. Jones Cox. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother. Mr. Cox worked for the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. A & P for 29 years. He later co-owned Kelley’s Food City in Clarksville, TN. He retired in 1991. Lawrence was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Brown Cox; daughters, Carol Mince and husband John and Loraine Adams; grandson, James Clayton Adams; granddaughter, Jillian Loraine Andolina; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Clay Adams; step daughter, Michelle Murphy and husband Robert Murphy; step grandchildren, Thomas Allan Murphy and Benjamin Glenn Murphy; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
