Mr. Lawrence (Pop) Brengel, 72, Erin, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at his home.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Erin Church Of God Of Prophecy with Bro. Richard Neal officiating. Burial will be in Brengel Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
He was born October 10, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Lawrence Brengel and Dorothy Schreier.
Survivors include a son, Larry Brengel of Erin; daughters Claire Fialkowski of Oxford, NY, Dawn Zerbo of Hawley, PA and Colleen Orlando of Riverhead, NY; brothers John Rotzman of Islip Terrace, NY and Louis Brengel of Deltona, FL; sisters Ethel Brengel of Allen, TX and Dottie Brengel of Deltona, FL; fifteen grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Gatji, Joshua Sialkowski, Steven Brengel, Christopher Nelson, Randy Eads, Ricky Denton, Paul Mahoney and Franklin Rye. Thurman Rye will serve as honorary pallbearer.
