LaVerne Young Nolen, 81, Clarksville, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
A celebration of her life will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Roger P. Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
LaVerne was born May 17, 1934 in Cumberland City, TN and was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lester and Hazel Crotzer Harris; and her first husband, Robert Calop Young.
She was a nurse for Dr. Dawson Durrett for many years and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gray Nolen; sons, Randy Young and wife,Susan, Michael R. Young and wife, Sherry; daughter, Linda Young Harris and husband, Donald; brother, L.W. Harris and wife, Judy; children by marriage, Beverly Nolen and wife, Rhonda, Joel Nolen and wife, Sherry, Ginger Fussell and husband, Sandy; fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael D. Young, Matthew Young, Chase Cox, Michael C. Young, John Young, Josh Boone. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Kitten and Zoot Parkers Sunday School Class.
