Laverne Smith

Laverne Smith, 77, Madisonville, KY, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at NHC of Madisonville, Ky. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson with Rev. B.J. Brack officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until service time Tueday at the funeral home. She was born April 10, 1933, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Dave Cliffton Smith and late Evelyn Ransdell Smith. She was a Christian and retired as the department head of purchasing for the Regional Medical Center of Madisonville. She also was a graduate of Clarksville High, attended Austin Peay State University and Graduated from the University of Tennessee at Memphis School of Pharmacy. Mrs. Smith loved to garden and arts and crafts. Survivors include son, Samuel Smith, Denver, CO; sister, Nancy Boudoin (Tom), Clarksville; friend and POA, Bonnie Brasher; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other dear friends.
