Laurence Teeter, Jr.

Laurence George Teeter, Jr., affectionately known as “Buck”, age 81 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at First Baptist Church Clarksville with Dr. Ronny Rains and Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Guthrie, KY.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Buck entered this life on January 23, 1940, in Clarksville, TN to the late Laurence George Teeter, Sr. and Bettye Johnson Teeter. He was a member of First Baptist Church and is survived by his wife Maridee Teeter.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Davis Teeter, mother of his surviving children, John Johnson Teeter, and his wife, Gina, Tammy Teeter Jones and her husband, Mike, James Davis Teeter and his wife, Jennie. Survivors also include his brother, Tom Teeter, two stepchildren, seven grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be two grandsons, Kurt Jones and John Teeter, Jr. Bill Bartlett, Joe Welch, John Allensworth, John Poindexter, Landon Brake, and Mike Carrigan will also serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Reid Dorris, Smith Chastain, Jim Jones, L.W. Harris, Ron Morton, James Coleman, Steve Cummings, and Andres Valussi.
