Laura Smithey - 1922 Laura Mae Smithey, 87, Erin, died Wednesday, July 29,2009, at Signature Health Care. The funeral will be held at 2pm Friday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Harriet Bryan Harris and Rev.Ken Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30pm till 8pm Thursday and from 8am till service Friday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born June 4,1922 in Dickson County,Tn.daughter of the late John and Nellie Jarman Daniels.She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Smithey. She was a member of Erin United Methodist Church.Retired from Houston County School Cafeteria. Survivors include one son Mitchell Smithey of Erin,Tn.two daughters Rita Downs of Erin,Tn.Mickey Fryer of Henderson,Ky.two sisters Betty Gunson of Cumberland City,Tn.Louise Green of Clarksville,Tn. eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
