Larry Burnis Hawthorne, 68, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Chaplain Rob Courtney officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Larry was born August 23, 1944 in Cambridge, Nebraska, son of Burnis and Doris Sayer Hawthorne. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Tinna. He was U.S. Army veteran and had a career as a Master Pressman. Larry attended First Baptist Church of Clarksville and his hobbies included making movies and cards on his computer for friends and family and he enjoyed fishing.
He leaves behind his fiance, Darlene A. Smith; his children, Cheri Koprek and husband Mark and Ricky Hawthorne and wife Julie; brothers, Terry Hawthorne, Gregory MacLean, and James Larry Hawthorne; and sisters, Shirley Robba, Betty Ann Meals, and Betty Sue Vetch. He was the proud grandfather of Aryanna, Alyssa, and John Koprek, and Cassidy Hawthorne.
