Larry Wayne Frost gained his angel wings on September 4, 2022, after a brief illness. He was welcomed into his forever home in paradise and greeted by his loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held 5 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, Rev. David Mackens officiating. The Frost Family will receive friends from 11-1p.m. and again from 2-5 p.m. all on Friday, September 9, 2022 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
He was born January 30, 1954, in Bishop Stortford England to Claude and Joyce Frost of Clarksville. His dad precedes him in death.
He was a loving husband to his high school sweetheart Leslie Jolly Frost of 49 years; father to Steve (Traci) Frost of Clarksville, Jennilyn (Brandon) Butts of Clarksville, and Matthew Frost of Mt. Juliet. He was a loving Papa to Parker, Allie, Cooper, Logan and Harper. He is also survived by his brother Gary (Belle) Frost, sisters Victoria (Darrol) Samsil, and Karen (Marty) Shelton as well as many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Northwest High School in 1973. In 1974, Larry worked alongside his father Claude and brother Gary at Frost Auto Alignment and then left to go to the Montgomery County Sheriff Dept. which he retired in 2018. He was known as "Big Dog" to many friends and family. He was always one to make you laugh with his stories and jokes. His love was spending time in the mountains, watching UT football games, riding his tractor with flashers on and then wandering around on his golf cart just to say hello. He loved feeding birds, making sure his sidekick "Punkin" was with him. At nighttime, if you were lucky enough to be close by, you would hear him singing off key with headphones on; trying to harmonize with the Gaithers.
God blessed him with lots of friends and wonderful neighbors. We know to be absent here is to be present with the Lord. Until we meet again - fly high our loving dad, husband, brother, uncle, son and papa.
