Larry Joe Appleton walked into the arms of Jesus April 30th, 2023, at the age of 82.
Larry was born May 5th 1940 in Neptune, TN, and was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School, Class of 1959. Larry was a tool and die machinist at Trane and worked as a contractor. Larry loved family, restoring old cars, and tinkering in the shop.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, AnnaBell (Ralph) Appleton-DiDonato, Ex-wife Betty Jarman-Appleton, and son Edward “Eddie” Appleton.
He is survived by wife Merry Appleton, sister Jackie (Tom) Hostetter, and sons: Mark (Lisa) Appleton, Scott (Diana) Appleton, Eric (Cristy) Appleton. Grandchildren; Thea (John) Kahle, Amanda (Eric) Huneycutt, Katie (Brandon) Appleton, Zachary (Jessika) Appleton, Jacob (Taylor) Appleton, Brittany Appleton, Erica Appleton, Betty-Lynn (Ethan) Appleton, Rebekah Appleton and 8 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Rittenberry and Dr. Ted Denny officiating and Burial will follow at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2nd from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. and then again on Wednesday May 3rd from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be; John Kahle, Eric Huneycutt, Brandon Cheek, Zachary Appleton, Jacob Appleton, and Dalton Powell.
