L. Micheal Burns

L. Micheal Burns, age 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Micheal's family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Micheal entered into this life on August 16, 1959, to parents Dearl Byron Burns and the late Mae Smith Roberts. Micheal was a skilled craftsman and carpenter. Additionally, Micheal had a servant's heart. He especially had a desire to help the homeless population, establishing the Nashville-based non-profit, Warm Souls. From time to time, he enjoyed fishing for fun including the peace and stillness found in nature.

Survivors include his father, Dearl Burns (Shirley Grant Burns); Micheal's children, Leslie Ann Ashburn, Katharine Mae Peck (Will), Mikala Burns, and David Hooper; five grandchildren; his siblings, David Burns (Barbie), Cheryl Burns-Kraft (Tom), Dee Akers (Paul), Michael Hopkins (Emily); and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made in Micheal's memory to Manna Cafe Ministries.
