Kenneth Ray Poston Sr., age 82 of Clarksville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Sexton officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born on July 27, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Irwin Norville Poston and Nellie Hallie Freeman Poston. He is a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Kenneth was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was an avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Poston and Robert St. John.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah St. John Poston; children, Kenneth Ray (Tarin) Poston II, Karen Sue Poston (Jeff) Gladdish, and Billy Ray Dinsmore; grandchildren, Ryan David Poston, Tara Elaine (Christopher) Mendel, Kyle Poston, Alyssa Dinsmore, Faith Binney, and Katrina St. John; great-grandchild, Madilyn Mendel; siblings, Ed Poston, Ruth Brasfield, Fran Hurt, and Sue (Robert) Sexton.
