Kenneth Hayes

Kenneth Hayes, age 96, of Clarksville, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Hilldale Baptist Church with Rev. James Sanders and Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The Hayes family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Hilldale Baptist Church. A Masonic service will be held 7 p.m. on Friday.
Kenneth entered into this life on March 19, 1922 in Palmyra, TN, son of the late William and Armentha Sugg Hayes. He was a Deacon Emeritus of Hilldale Baptist Church. Kenneth was a member of Masonic Lodge # 89 and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 500. In 1963 Kenneth retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy. He also retired from Grumman Aerospace.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Opal Hayes; brothers, Hubert, Hartwell, Lawson, and Lathey Hayes; sisters, Elsie Hayes, Esta Sykes, Margie Nicoli, and Helen.
Survivors include his sons, Larry and Alan (Rosemary) Hayes, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
