Kenneth Wayne Armstrong, age 76, of Clarksville, passed away at his residence after an extended illness on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Powell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, and again Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Burial will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Kenneth entered into this life on June 7, 1945, in Cerulean, KY, to the late John Milton and Allie Mae Lyell Armstrong. After graduation, Kenneth went on to obtain a bachelor's and master’s degree from Austin Peay, and eventually a Ph.D. from Kennedy Western University. He devoted fifty years to educating children as a teacher at many different schools from CMCSS, Miller-Motte Business College, Hendersonville Christian Academy, Pleasant View Christian School, and Unity Christian Academy. He was a teacher and a principal at Bible Baptist Church and Academy. In his spare time, he was a Club Z tutor, he also enjoyed reading, playing sports, and watching old movies. Kenneth was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty six years, Juna Lee Hale Armstrong; daughters, Kathy (Gene) Simmons of Manchester, TN, Kimberly (Ken) Smith; brother, Douglas (Gayle) Armstrong of Mt. Morris, MI; grandchildren, Kasey Smith, Allison (Jamie) Shouse, Lee Smith; great-grandchild, Aubrey Smith Holt; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bush, Scotty Perkins, Brent Parchman, David Newberry, Rodney Cottrell, Ronnie Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BIMI Military Missions in C/O Bible Baptist Church at 3102 Prospect Circle, Clarksville, TN 37043.
