Katy E. Proctor, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully while in the comfort of her home in Clarksville, Tennessee, on February 17, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 20, 1933, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, Katy was the daughter of the late Clovis and Eunice Austin Heflin.
Throughout her life, Katy devoted herself to her family, which she adored immensely. She was known for her loving and warm disposition, deeply caring for those around her. As a longtime worker at Acme Boot Company, she dedicated herself with the same passion that she brought to her home life. If someone particularly enjoyed a meal, they could expect a special helping the next time they visited, as she always found ways to touch the hearts and lives of each family member in a unique manner.

She always looked forward to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg shows featuring impersonators of the legendary artist. Her zest for life shone through her hobbies and the joy she took in her family's company.
In addition to her rich personal life, Katy was also a pillar of support for her family. She is survived by her children, Roger Sensing (Kathy), Rose Gilcrest (Ted), Johnny Sensing (Sandy), Debbie Adib-Razavi (Massoud), and Margaret Anderson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, which include Roger Dale Sensing, Susan Sensing, Sandy Walker, Stacie Sensing, Amy Williams (Robert), Todd Phillips (Beth), Kristie Montjoy (J.R.), Robin Coon (Jeff), Amanda Altizer (Ryan), Michael Parker, Johnathon Sensing, Carrie West (Ben), Ali Adib-Razavi, Johnathan McClain, Justin Adib-Razavi, Brandy Razavi, Alexus Razavi, and Sean Perry Anderson, alongside a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Katy is also survived by her sister, Louise Gibbs, and her son-in-law, Andy Phillips.
In addition to her parents, Katy was preceded in death by her former husbands, Roy Sensing and Perry Proctor, Jr., her daughter Linda Phillips, and her siblings Robert Heflin, Lucille Heflin, G.L. Heflin, Herbert Wayne Heflin, and Paul (PeeWee) Heflin.
