Kathy Anne Hicks Sengun, age 68 of Grayson, GA; passed away on May 20, 2022 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
She was born in Atlanta, GA on May 7, 1954 and was the daughter to the late George and Opal Nash Hicks. She was a member of Grayson United Methodist Church.
Kathy was a graduate from Emory University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. After graduation she started her nursing career as a NICU Nurse at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She served as an RN for many hospitals over her 40 plus years and retired from Emory University. Aside from her career, Kathy enjoyed music, dancing, crafts and traveling. She was known as an avid animal lover and cared for many rescue dogs. Above everything Kathy loved spending time with her daughter Kayla.
Survivors include her daughter, Kayla (Chris) Jeffery; Kayla’s father, Chet Sengun, and cousins, Louise, Ruth, Beth, Mike, and Debra.
