Kathryn Sleigh

Kathryn Hawkins Sleigh, 81, Clarksville, TN, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at NHC Place - Cool Springs, Franklin, TN. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sleigh was born March 13, 1928 in Woodlawn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Eula Chester Hawkins; husband, Howard Thomas Sleigh; son, Howard Thomas "Tommy" Sleigh, Jr; brother, Lauren Hawkins; and sister, Francis Smith. Mrs. Sleigh was a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a former Bookkeeper for Clarksville Electric and Albright Plumbing. Mrs. Sleigh is survived by daughters, Linda Sleigh Pickett, Clarksville, Melanie Jane (Marshall) Capps, Brentwood, Janet Lynn (Mike) Malone, Clarksville, Patty Elaine Metelko, Mason, OH; brothers, Gordon Hawkins, Royce Hawkins Jr., both of Clarksville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Allison Pickett, Amanda Pickett, Brandon Capps, Kathryn Capps, Kevin Malone, Zachary Malone, Matthew Malone, Michael Metelko and Evan Metelko; great-granddaughter, Sarah Tagatz. Pallbearers will be Brandon Capps, Michael Metelko, Evan Metelko, Kevin Malone, Zachary Malone, Marshall Capps and Mike Malone.
