Katherine Aleen Carman, 83, of Birmingham MI, died suddenly of natural causes on October 13, 2020, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
Katherine was born November 2, 1936, in Cumberland Furnace, TN, to Van and Mae Dell (Thompson) Williams.
Katherine grew up in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit, MI in 1954.
After high school, Katherine worked as a bookkeeper for several stock brokerage firms in Detroit's Financial District.
Katherine married Richard Anderson Carman in 1959 in Detroit, MI. They were married for 57 years.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Richard; her daughter Julie; her parents Van and Mae Dell; her sisters Mary Rogers and Janie Taylor; and her brother William Hodges.
Katherine is survived by her sons Mark (Meg) and Kirk; her grandchildren Anne, Richard and Susan; and her brothers John Williams and Warren Hodges.
She’ll be fondly remembered by special friends Andrew Bell; Helen Harding; Elexis Major; Lisa Beavers; Trey Robertson; Carolyn Downs; and Alexandra Smith.
