Karla Shiflet

Karla Ingeborg Kummer Shiflet, 72, Clarksville, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville. The remains are to be cremated. Mrs. Shiflet was born May 3, 1936 in Wuppertal Germany the daughter of Friedrich and Carola Klugmann Kummer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wolfgang Kummer and two step-sons. She retired from the German Postal and Banking Service and was a homemaker Survivors include her husband, Don Shiflet, Clarksville; son, Patrick (Michelle) Shiflet, granddaughters, Lauren and Morgan Shiflet, all of Buchannan, TN; step-son, Eddie Stagnolia, Orlando, FL; step-daughter, Peggie Shiflet O'Neal, Carville, TN; seven step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
