Kari Myhre Darnell, age 80, of Southside, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Kari entered into this life on May 9, 1941, in Oslo Norway to the late Kaari and Elsa Myhre. She was a Methodist.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, James Monroe Darnell USMC (Ret.); son, James Darnell.
Survived by her companion of 36 years, Calvin Adkins.
Loving daughters include Irene (Lyle) Carlson, Sharmane (Paul) Estolano, Laila (Jamie Phillips) Darnell, Anne-Karin (Josh Morrison) Darnell; grandchildren, Corine (Bryan) Comstock, Paul Estolano, Jr., Briana Estolano, Giselle (Thomas Maher) Estolano, Shelby Arthur, Madison Morrison, Caige Morrison; great-grandchildren, Bryson Comstock, Stella Comstock, Remi Maher, Bryleigh Arthur, Bryson Morrison.
