Patricia Karen Wall, age 75, of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Centennial Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Ryes Chapel Cemetery.
The Wall family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Karen entered into this life on December 18, 1942 in Hardin County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Clyde and Bonnie Countess. She was a member of Gray’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene, and enjoyed reading, crocheting and gospel music. At age 16 she was the Valedictorian of the 1959 graduating class of Collinwood High School. She furthered her education at Austin Peay State University and graduated in 1962 with a B.S. in Education at the age of 19. Her teaching career of forty years began in Chapel Hill, TN at Forrest High School. She later returned to Clarksville, teaching at both Clarksville High School and Northwest High School where she retired after 34 years. Karen spent many years involved with the original Clarksville-Montgomery County Teachers Credit Union. She was a board member, served as office help, and President. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward (Jack) Wall.
Survivors include her children, Larry Gilbert, Sr., Bryan (Amy) Gilbert, and Terri (Ron) Person; former daughter-in-law, Shari Gilbert; grandchildren, Amber O'Brien, Patricia Myers, Johnathan Person, Larry Gilbert, Jr., and Joshua Gilbert; six great grandchildren, and two dear friends, Becky Shepherd, and Cynthia Mosley.
