Justin Derek Johnson, age 42, of Clarksville, TN passed over to his forever home to be with our Lord and Savior, Saturday, October 29, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Minister Pat Van Dyke officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Justin entered this life on January 21, 1980 in Montgomery County, TN to Raymond Johnson and Evelyn (Dale) Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn (Dale) Johnson, his sons, Les Stephens, and Jakob Cozart: sister. Tammy
(Johnson) Gizzi; and nieces, Stephanie Gizzi-Bell, and Rachel Gizzi. Other family members include Jackie and Jordan Bell, Katherine Birdwell, Ava Gizzi, Amber (Ely) Collier. Jason Ely, and Raynell (Vanzant) Smith.
Justin was preceded in death by his father. Raymond J. Johnson, maternal grandmother, Catherine (Bishop) Dale, grandfather, Saul Dale, and paternal grandmother, Agnes Johnson-Vanzant.
Justin was an Army Veteran who served in Desert Storm during the Iraq War. He was a true patriot who loved helping his country in such a time of need. He forever treasured his time in the Military and praised the heroes he served with. Following the Army, Justin attended Austin Peay State University. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in General Business.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with top honors. Justin made strong and lasting bonds with his brothers in both the military and fraternities. He loved his family very much and they were always very proud of him.He was a well-read person, somewhat of a philosopher, music lover of all kinds, and Justin gave the best hugs.
He loved making people laugh, always told long elaborate stories, and enjoyed teaching others new outlooks on life. Justin never met a stranger and was well-known, well-liked, friendly, and extremely outgoing. His passions were working out/body building and exceeding, all limits and boundaries in every area of his life. Justin was very loved by all and will be eternally missed by his family
and friends.
