June Farnsworth

June Carolyn Gatewood Farnsworth, 81, peacefully passed away September 23, 2018, at Signature Healthcare in Erin, TN.
June was born August 29, 1937 in Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee, the daughter of Carlis Duaine Gatewood and Gladys Mae Adkins. The family moved to Lansing, Michigan where June attended junior and senior high school as well as beauty school. In the early 1980’s she moved back to Martin, TN to care for her father Carlis. She attended Murray School of Practical Nursing in Kentucky and earned her degree in 1988. On February 2, 1990 she married Richard Farnsworth with whom she shared their love of fishing, going to auctions, and their continued sobriety through Alcoholics Anonymous. June and Dick enjoyed having their Michigan relatives visit their home in Clinton, Kentucky, all of whom will miss her feisty attitude and home cooking.
June was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mary Teresa Cavanaugh, a brother Homer Gatewood, and her husband, Richard Farnsworth.
June leaves many loved ones behind including the families of; her eldest brother Homer Gatewood, sister-n-law Marlene Hough Gatewood, nieces and nephews Christine Bean, Cynthia Gatewood, Catherine and Judy Gatewood-Keim, James and Glenda Gatewood, Constance & Will Ward, Anthony and Sarah Gatewood; and her younger brother Thomas Gatewood and nieces JoAnn and Randall Degen, Deborah and Jeff Kelley, Sandra and Jesse Cuple and Julie Gatewood; several great nieces, nephews, cousins and a son Allison Heath.
Arrangements are being made by Nave Funeral Home in Erin, Tennessee. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Hatler’s Chapel Cemetery in Martin, TN.
