Julian `Tiny` Clyde Karnes, 74, Cumberland Furnace, died Thursday, October 18, at Vanderbillt Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. James Green officiating. Burial will be in Baggett's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 til 7 p. m. Saturday at the funeral home. and from Noon until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be held 7 p. m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Karnes was born May 28, 1933 in Montgomery County, the son of Thurman Brady and Elsie M. Potts Karnes. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and the owner of B. and J. Produce. Mr. Karnes was a Presbyterian, member of McAlister Lodge # 402, the Al Menah Temple, Clarksville Shrine Club, Houston Co. Shrine Club, Ft. Campbell Shrine Club, Hillbilly Shrine, York Rite Mason, Scottish Rite Mason and Eastern Star. Mr. Karnes is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Underwood Karnes, three sons, Michael(Donna) Karnes, Clarksville, Clyde (Brenda) and James Karnes both of Cumberland Furnace. Step-Son, Ronnie Underwood, Centerville, Ohio, Four Daughters, Barbara Jean (Tommy) Hodges, Clarksville, Lynn (Larry) Stites, Helen (Johnny) Black, Patricia (Jessie) Tuberville,all of Cumberland Furnace. Three sisters, Josie Green, Dallas, GA. Olene Baggett and Evie Mae Mezza, Cunningham, Twelve grandchildren and Nine Great-grandchildren.
