Judy Marlene Rogers

Judy Marlene Rogers (July 6, 1946-December 9, 2024)

Born July 6, 1946 to Ronald B and Eveline (Roberts) Rogers in Toledo, OH. Judy lived in Ohio, Florida and Illinois growing up and moved to Tennessee as a young adult. The majority of her life was lived in the suburbs of Chicago, this is where she met Billy Burlison and they married in 1963. In 1966, they welcomed their only child, Ronald. 

Judy wore many hats in her working career; she managed a white hen, worked at a Bobcat factory as an assembler, worked with her husband for Bekins Van Lines, & the EMS squad in Johnson Creek, WI. She was most proud of her job at the hospital where she was an intensive care monitor tech for many years. 

Later in life, Judy settled into the Fox Lake, IL area to live near her sisters until moving to Tennessee in 2022 to live by her son. 

Judy lived at Signature Healthcare Center and was very involved within the facility. They paint, make crafts, go on outings or staycations, but her favorite was playing BINGO. She was called the bingo queen by her family and friends. She made a lot of friends there from residents to staff. She was also a part of the emerald queen pageant this past spring where she placed 3rd and was the resident council president for the past year. 

Judy leaves behind her son; Ronald (Becky) Burlison; two sisters, Susan Rogers, Sharon Angel; four grandchildren, Billie (Andrew) Bell, Samantha (Sean) Stewart-Lutz, Holly Weide,Mackenzie (Elizabeth) Yarbrough; eleven great grandchildren, Adair, Anika, Cian Stewart-Lutz, Jazzlyn Burlison, Teagan Bell, Gemma, Eden, Adelin Yarbrough, Chase, Payton, Selena Weide; two great-great grandchildren, Amaya and Selma along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Eveline Rogers; siblings, Roy Rogers, Linda Rogers, and her grandparents. 

A memorial service will be held at Signature Healthcare in Erin, Tennessee at a later date. Final resting place will be in Monroe, Michigan next to her parents.
