Judy Ferrell

Judy Ferrell, age 79, of Hackberry, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bob Yarbrough Cemetery on Goolinghorn Road.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m.until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Judy entered this life on June 17, 1945 in Hackberry to Bailey and Lucy Biter Yarbrough. She was a Christian and worked as an administrative assistant at the Social Security office.

Judy was a joyous spirit who was as vibrant as her favorite color, purple. She enjoyed horseback riding, golfing, and seeing the world with her loving husband, Franklin Ferrell. Together they lived in Houston, Baton Rouge, Chattanooga, and elsewhere, always staying active in the church community. They eventually settled down back in Hackberry where they built their home, close to the family and friends that meant so much to them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bailey and Lucy, her husband Frank, and her sister Gladys Sue Byrd.

Survivors include her sister, Carolyn Farrell and her husband, Richard Farrell; nieces and nephews, Shanda Farrell, Allison Gengarella, Craig Byrd, and Jason Farrell.

Pallbearers will be Herbert Alan Jackson, Craig Byrd, Jason Farrell, David Newberry, John Kahle, Jerry Bush, and Bobby Smith
