Juanita Lynn Smithey, age 68, of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022.
A Memorial Service for both Juanita and her late husband, Truman will be held 4 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Jeff Akin officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Juanita entered this life on November 13, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Felix and Irene Groves. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed gardening and going to church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Truman Smithey; son, Lee Smithey; and granddaughters, Amanda Smithey and Nikki Hartman. Juanita is also preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Edwards and Billy Groves.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Becky Lynn Smithey (Preston Farmer); niece and nephew, Linda and Terry Shelton; great-niece, Kristina David.
